We need new members to help us celebrate, protect and enhance the City of Durham. It is our membership that gives us our voice. The more members we have, the louder our voice.
The benefits of joining are:
- You will be part of a group of independent, non-partisan individuals who care about the City of Durham’s natural and built heritage and liveability and want their voices to be heard through meaningful engagement with the planning system.
- Through working with others you will increase the opportunity for your views to be taken into consideration and to be effective.
- You can choose to be actively involved by bringing issues to our attention, contributing to the development of our responses or suggesting issues to lobby and campaign about.
- You can stimulate constructive debate on our website (new blog soon to be launched) about topics of interest, such as ways of restoring balanced communities and developing sustainable travel in the City centre.
- Alternatively you can simply choose to be interested and keep up to date with the news.
- You will be sent two newsletters a year and one annual report through the post or as a pdf email attachment.
- You will be invited to several talks on historical and environmental topics during the year and to the AGM every summer.
