Age Friendly Housing

It is predicted that in County Durham between 2016 and 2035 there will be a huge growth in the number of over 65 year olds. However, only a very small proportion of homes in the County meet the basic design features which promote accessibility. The attached document proposes community action to create a housing development and environment which would support people to maintain their wellbeing as they age and their needs change.
