Volunteer at Beaurepaire

Along with local volunteers, DREAM has been running a community heritage project at the site of the Beaurepaire Medieval Manor House since late 2018. A committed band of volunteers have cleared the site of masking and damaging vegetation, hosted events and visits at the site, and given talks to local schools. Recently volunteers have gravelled interior rooms and made the site even more pleasant to visit, but DREAM hopes to have opportunities for local residents to get involved in the consolidation and conservation works to the masonry itself, in apprenticeships and in conservation action days. Interested people should get in touch with DREAM at: Email:

DREAM is a not-for-profit organisation (a community interest company) that delivers community heritage projects, archaeological excavations and community activities, with and for the community, to save and rebuild both heritage and community. There may be other projects that volunteers could become involved with.

  1. I have recently visited the site after several years and am delighted to see the work that had been done to improve the site. I’m interested in what it would’ve looked like when in its prime and who used it.
